Chloe & James
When Chloe first arrived at Pixies HQ the whole entourage was there, so we'd already met the whole family!!!
Arriving in style, as always at The Saddleworth Hotel in the open top Rolls Royce, chauffeured by Anthony in cravat and trilby! - alongside a tearful father of the bride and the popping of champagne corks - with glasses for everyone! The clouds had blown over and the sun came out, there were a few goosebumps - but the outdoor ceremony space at The Saddleworth is too good an opportunity to pass up especially as the groom had helped decorate it earlier!
Chloe and James had the stunning ballroom setting for their reception, whilst their guests relaxed with drinks and canapes, we were off taking pictures in the woods with James carrying Chloe over cattle grids!
We left them to dine in style, with family and friends and the fire roaring in the city-chic ballroom.
Photos to follow soon...
Emma & Andy
It's great to shoot a wedding through recommendation, and three years ago we shot Emma's dad's wedding so they asked the "Pixies" back to shoot their own wedding :)
The wedding and reception was all held at The Village Hotel, Hyde (Emma's dad got married at the village in Ashton-under-Lyne, there's a theme there!) - the hotel provided many more photo opportunities than first appeared obvious, turning out to be a great venue with Emma & Andy up for some grunge-y shots along with the more classic poses. Although the health and safety reg's didn't allow me to get on the roof for the group shot, so back to the trusty Pixie ladders!
One of Emma's friends, a pro photographer living in Australia shadowed the three of us too… great to share ideas :-)

Diane & Darren
Last time we were at The White Hart at Lydgate - the weather was somewhat inclement - the theme seemed to continue as a late flurry (blizzard) of snow had fallen the previous day. Fortunately for Diane and Darren the sun came out to take off the chill - with chance for some outdoor shots taking in the moorland scenery and the panoramic shot Diane wanted.
Diane's sister one of the bridesmaids, was up for lots of photos too, she did love the camera, makes my job easier!!
Before the wedding breakfast, Diane threw the bouquet - a great photo shot and a tradition which doesn't seem to happen so often these days. On to the reception, held in the Oak Room, a great space with great light to capture the speeches, the cake and more pics of the guests.
Pixiette blogging away!
Just caught Sara (my better half and official Pixiette) knocking my blogging notes into shape, should be uploaded with photos soon... well done chuck :-)
Update...
Running a bit behind with my blog! Lot's of wedding shoots to write about, just sooooo busy :-) Watch this space!

Kirsten & Carl's Wedding Day
You'd think Kirsten & Carl's wedding was held in the middle of Summer not the end of Winter!
Their ceremony and reception took place at The Villa Hotel at Wrea Green near Preston, gorgeous venue especially in all this sunshine :)
An emotional ceremony in The Villa's huge marque was followed by some great photo moments outdoors. This was only the second time a studio was set up in the evening, which worked great as this seemed more popular than the dance floor for part of the evening, definitely worth booking as some great, studio quality shots were captured.
